If I think a person i live with has an eating disorder, but she wont admit to it, is there any getting help?

A couple of friends and i are concerned but she makes up so many excuses for why she doesnt eat or the way she eats that we dont know what to do about it. we have caught her throwing up (althought she didnt know this) and then she (five minutes later) went on a run. She wont admith to anything so we dont know what to do so i thought i'd ask. thanks for your help : )

The first step to having an eating disorder is not admitting it. Therefore the person you believe has it surely won't come out and tell you. There is no way in her mind that she is doing something wrong. I am sorry to say but she is going to further harm herself is you continue to hide the fact that you know about it. If you have witnessed her throwing up and the way she eats, maybe you should have a conversation with her. Instead of saying "I think you have a problem." Say "I know you have a problem and I want to help you." I deal with these cases all the time, I have a lot of patients that are going through an eating disorder. I don't understand why they wouldn't turn to someone for help. Make her understand that you are in the relationship with her to help her. You want to lend a helping hand. You want to make her feel good with her body. If there are any problems feel free to contact me and I'll give you my contact information later. She should seek help.
