Sounds silly but i personally know it works...make sure that at leat 30 percent of your calories come from ....FAT! Your cycle should be back to normal in about 3 months. Go to a nutritionist who can help you make all the right choices for your body to be the healthiest it can! good luck!
That will take a while. Could be months to a year. Just be patient.

Hon, you will ALWAYS have that eating disorder. It's just that right now you are getting help for it---which is great. But you know you could go right back to it if you don't take care of yourself.

I was put on birth control pills to make my periods come back and be regular again. My lack of periods was for a different reason though (poly cystic ovaries). Ask your Dr. if the pill would help you, although if the reason that you want your periods back is to get pregnant, then I guess the pill would not be what you would want. Being able to get pregnant is why I wanted mine back. If you are not desiring to get pregnant then I would say don't worry when it comes back. I wouldn't miss my period if it took a little vacation for a while!! Seriously though, I would just see your Dr. and see what he/she says. They would know better than I would. Good luck to you!
