Where can i find some large, good quality imagages of people suffering from an eating disorder? |
This is for a project for school, i have found some really good infromation of eating disorders, however it is incredibly difficult to get large good quality images, which are essential for peoples understanding of the illnesses. Can anybody help me please? Hi there. It is a little difficult to find images of people with anorexia, because of the triggering effect. Many websites that are "pro ana" get shut down because they believe, seeing photos like this encourages eating disorders. If you want some photos, do what others have suggested with searching online, but know that whatever photos you display or feature in a presentation can be really triggering for people currently suffering from an ED, or in recovery. I would suggest finding a large photo of a girl looking pained, maybe with some different texts over her body relating to things like the mirror, struggles, self-image, etc. Go the artistic route. Good luck! Type eating disorders, bulemia or anorexia in your search engine then click on images? you will probably not find such images as people with eating disorders dont like their picture taken as they feel fat. I would get some descriptions of what they can do to the body If you live in a city and you have a camera then if you walk around long enough and pay attention to people. You' ll see that some not many people are just to skinny. Mostly women I've seen some who are so skinny, their shoulders were sunken in and their legs were scrawny. These people could barely lift there legs up over the curb. You can take pictures of there backs there legs and there struggles to get over the curb, then you can compare it to the people of the concentration camps Hope this helps. http://web4health.info/en/answers/ed-pic... http://www.gurze.com/client/client_pages... http://www.bodycage.com/visaidpopup.html... Good luck with your project! Try the eating disorders association website, they have resources for students and the media. |
