The will start with routine blood work, to see if you are depleted of or lower than normal minerals, vitamins, enzymes, proteins, etc. Also check your red and white blood cell count, platelets etc.. Then they may choose to do some testing, ultra sounds, CTs, small and on the digestive track to see if there is any abnormal ties or diseases showing. If there is signs suggesting any problem they may decide to do more intensive procedures like a barium follow thru, sigmoidoscopy, or a colonoscopy. Most likely they have you see a doctor from internal medicine such as a gastroenterologist.
Not quite sure...but most likely a mental exam to get to the root of the problem. If this is for you then good for you in getting help. If it's for a loved one or a friend then good for you for tring to help!
no one can know for sure what the doctor in charge of you would order, but it would be usual to do a thorough physical as well as psychological exam which would involve some standard blood tests at least.
