What is the disorder where children dont know they are full and want to eat constantly? I mean very young kids


my son is 16 months and is obsessed with food. He will never quit eating. you have to remove the food then he whines. He will also eat anything put in front of him. please help.

You need to give him a cerain amount per meal and thats it. No more. He is only 16 months and ths will continue his whole life if you dont dtop it while hes young. When hes older, hell start taking food wtihout yoyu knowing and we dont want that. SO stop it now while you can.

Maybe he is just bored.People,not just kids have a tendency to eat when they are bored.Has he always ate like this?If not he probably is going through a growth spurt.My son eats a lot for a few weeks then will eat hardley anything forr a while.Also if he is active.he may need more calories,therefore he may feel hungry all the time.I really dont think its a disorder at this point.Is he overweight at all? If he's not then I wouldnt worry much at all!He must just have a healthy appetite!As for the whining when you take his food away..I work at a daycare..I have 14 toddlers a day and most of them whine if we even look at there food the wrong way let alone take it!!
I don't know if it is even a disorder but babies and young children have very small stomachs which demand eating a lot of small meals daily. I also think kids may ask for food just because they are bored and even tired.
