I have an eating disorder, and every time i start birth control i gain at least ten pounds? |
Its all because i have destroyed my metabolism and my body can not handle normal intake of food. is there anything i can do? i hate being on it but I dont want to get pregnant. i have been using Nuva ring, and each time it forced me to eat three times a day. is there anything besides an IUD that i can use with NO appetite change??? You need to start eating normally. most of the hormonal bc's tend to affect either appetite or metabolism...all I can suggest is to exercise more. I've been on depo provera for over a decade and it's notorious for causing weight gain. I've been at my largest and smallest adult weights while on it, but I have to work my butt off to lose weight (literally). I'm going to try the new pill coming out in july (lybrel) and see if it's better in that regard (weight issues). Good luck to you! maybe it's a good thing the nuva ring made you eat 3 times a day. But yeh BCP make you fatter. Yasmin is apparently not supposed to, but it did for me. Anyways, I think you should do more weights and eat some protein to get some muscle back so that you can get ur metabolism going again. I used to have an eating disorder. Since then I haven't gained much more than 5 pounds. I am on yasmin. It has worked the best for me trust me hun, i struggled with an eating disorder, and although it doesnt seem like it right now, you will be better off without ed (eating disorder) breathing down your neck. get some help. all ed's will eventually lead to death. you need to get back on track with eating. YOU CAN DO IT! |
