Is this an eating disorder sign? |
So I started cutting out my breads and starches and after a couple days my hunger for everything is almost gone, I lost 6 pounds in 5 days, and I havent had anything all day today, but i'm not hungry. I feel fine. yes it is a sign of san eating disorder. theres no way u can lose 5 pounds that quick unless u starve urself and u should eat somethin everyday. dont starve urself, please! you need protein. eat something. it doesn't sound like it's an eating disorder, but it does sound like something may be wrong you need to go to the doctor and eat something! Yes, you need to see a doctor, dietitian or something, you are loosing weight too fast and your appetite is gone, it could be alarming, please, have yourself checked out. You need to consume at least 1200 calories a day to be healthy. Anything less is not good. Cutting down on a certain food category (i.e. carbs) is ok, but cutting them completey out is not good for you. I can't say that you not eatng anyting today because you weren't hungry is a sign of an eating disorder, but not eating isn't good for anyone. You should try to consult your doctor about a diet that is good for you. If you think you have an eating disorder, you should also talk to a professional about that. No one on here can diagnose you. I don't think so... When you start dieting, you don't eat as much so you're less hungry. If you're worried about it, you should exercise more. That will give you more of an appetite. Also, drink a lot. Even if you're not thirsty you should drink. You don't want to become dehydrated. Eventually the whole "I'm going to stop eating" thing backfires. You're body will start holding on to fat because it thinks you're starving. Six pounds isn't really that much when you think about it. Your body generally fluctuates a couple pounds normally. It's only an eating disorder if you're having body perception problems and it stops you from living your life. Make a point to eat something during the day whether you're hungry or not. Your ability to make this decision for yourself to be healthy and not totally consumed with the diet will prove that you're not having a problem. |
