Eating disorder.. anoreixia manily.?

why do so many people talk down about anoerxic people? everytime you see something about it its constant critizism. i think its pretty ridiculous. why should you care if someone else wants to be skinny, its their choise and they must want to be skinny for a reason.

i am 5'4 and weigh 93 pounds and wouldnt want it any other way.

Because people don't understand that it's a mental illness, not a lifestyle choice. Many anorexics fool themselves thinking it's a lifestyle choice, but it doesn't work that way. People think if you're berated you'll stop, but you cannot cure a mental illness with insults.

They don't talk down because they are skinny....they agree that it's bad to cause harm to yourself, by starvation. It's not healthy. See some people care.

Being fat is also causing harm to oneself. People talk about obese people as well. Granted calling someone too skinny is the same as calling someone too fat. It's very rude and insulting.

Being obese and being anerexic, they are both eating disorders and both unhealthy. One is no better then the other, and BOTH are caused by low self esteem.
Been on both sides of the story.
I think people criticize the "wannabe" anorexics: the girls who say "look at me, look at me, i starved myself today, so that makes me anorexic." Real anorexia is a huge, sometimes deadly problem, but it's so overshadowed by people out there who think that if they skip a few meals, they're anorexic. And unfortunately, it's those people who ask the most questions on here about anorexia. True anorexics are reluctant to seek help from places like this. That's the nature of the disease.

some people are naturally skinny and that's fine for there bodys but going anorexic can kill you in 6 months

I am 5'3 and at one point I weighed 95 pounds. Looking back at pictures I did not look good.
