My girlfriend who models has an eating disorder.. help please? |
How can i tell her that her outfit is makes her look fat without her going off the deep end? she's not exactly thin - well not like some of the other models you see with eating disorders - and i don't want to come right out and say "you look fat in that" even though she does. she knew i was into skinny girls when we met, so it shouldn't be a surprise to her that i think she's too big. any suggestions? if she really cared about you, she'd be fine with your honesty. women should do their best to make their men happy. you can't expect a man to stay faithful if you don't do what it takes to keep him attracted to you Well, you could start by taking her out to eat a lot... and then just order for her. "She'll have water and a few slices of tomato." Then you might start suggesting that she take some diuretics. With any luck, she might just get the hint.... If not, start buying clothes that are a size too small and changing the size tag in them. Nature will take its course. if she has an eating disorder, she needs help. ask her to see a doctor, and check what weight is right for HER. maybe she looks "fat" to you, but if she models, she must be in proportion. the worst thing you could do here is tell her she looks fat and give her a really serious eating disorder that could potentially damage her for LIFE. if you are "into skinny girls" why dont you go and find one then? do you really care about this girl? be careful here is all i'm saying. i think the main thing you should do is get her to see a doc. i dont want to be harsh, but please dont jump in at the deep end. just say you are worried about her. maybe even offer to go to the doctors with her. get some advice from the doctor, and then just keep talking and being honest with each other (i write this as someone who has suffered an eating disorder myself) If she has an eating disorder why would u criticize her weight anyway?OMG that will only make it worse.her problem is not physical but mental.18 years of being anorexic I would freak out in the past if someone told me I looked chunky or a Lil big.I still slip to this day because of what some ppl say.And If u truly loved her,her size wouldn't make one difference. And even being anorexic I can honestly say,Some of the most beautiful ppl in the world are what some consider full size or large..I don't see ppl by their weight,,I see ppl for who they are,Their minds,Their wit etc.My suggestion that maybe you find another gal that would fit Ur criteria, and let her find someone that will love her and support her.Because if she has an eating disorder, telling her she looks fat will only make her worse.Thank GOD my hubby loves me no matter what.He loved me at 231 pounds at 5'8 and I'm now recovering and gaining weight and I'm 113 pounds. He never criticizes me and he loves me for who I am mentally.I have an awesome old man!! woohoooooooooooooo!! try taking a picture of her and showing it to her. You could use photo shop to make her look bigger so she wont wear that outfit again. Just don't tell her. Or say "while its ok, i think you look really good/hot when you wear X with X, please wear it just for me..." and offer her an alternate outfit that suits her. You aren't even worth it. Why don't you go look for some skinny girl since that is what you like. If I were her and you were trying to make me lose weight, I would dump your ***. take her over your knees |
