Who funds eating disorders research?

Especially since they are not easily or straightforwardly cured by drugs, the drugs companies are unlikely to fund research into such illnesses as is often the case. Does anyone know where the money for research comes from? Thanks

As far as I'm aware, most research is done in house. That is, research is undertaken by psychologists/psychiatrists within eating disorders units therefore the funding will often come from the hospital budget. Also, don't forget there are often postgraduates who conduct research as part of their MSc.

There are also research councils who offer grants.
