Can c-sections be the cause of endometriosis?? |
or for making it spread?? i know that c-sections arent the ONLY cause...but im wondering if they ''can be'' one of the causes?? While C-section is not actually a cause of the disease per se, iatrogenic transplantation (literally - "doctor caused") is one way in which Endo can be exacerbated and (certainly) caused in the umbilicus. It doesn't typically happen that often, because of the precautions taken during the C-section, but is still common to the Endo community. Of course, it doesn't explain why women or girls have Endo in the first place, but it can cause it to be located in an area that otherwise may not have been affected. definitely not Some people who have never had children have endometriosis, so definitely c-sections are not the cause. |
