Endometriosis--If your grossed out easy, don't ready this |
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at 23 years old and I'm 38 now. I've had all the treatments years ago. I feel like there's nothing left of my insides--like they're being put though a meat grinder every month, I'm very weak, my eyes are swollen, my back is so stiff I can hardly walk--also I get very light headed and passing HUGE clots. I know exactly what you're going through !!!!! I lived like this for 4 years, until finally i was where you are, and just decided to have a hysterectomy. I was done having kids, so that wasn't an issue for me. It turned out to be the best thing i ever did. After years of pain and bleeding ( i had 6 fibroid tumors also ), i finally felt better. I'm sure you can work out some kind of payment plan if you don't have insurance. A lot of hospitals now have financial counselors to help people who don't have insurance. Before i had my operation, they put me on the pill to see if that would help. It worked for about 2 years, then back to the same old thing. If you want to buy some time, that might help. Whatever you decide, good luck & hugs :-) you can have the lining of your womb removed to stop the periods, treatments have come on a great deal in the last few years so now no woman should suffer each month. Go back to your gp and ask to be referred to an expert. I wish you well |
