Does this sound like endometriosis?... and what is up with yahoo? |
I have had severe pain on my right side for the last three years. The pain I have isn't by my ovary it's more where my appendix is. Sorry for the graphic details but when I have sex my side hurts really badly. I would think if I had endometriosis my uterus would hurt more than my side. I know this condition is quite common but I don't know a lot about it besides the very basics, I need to do more research. I'm having surgery and my doctor said he may go in there and it may look like a shot gun went off or there could be nothing. If it isn't endometriosis what else could it be? Does it sound like endometriosis? I don't want the surgery if it could be something else. I had an ovarian cyst that was initially diagnosed as appendicitis--they can be both right in there together. A transvaginal ultrasound confirmed the cyst after the CT scan showed my appendix was fine. But I wouldn't think a cyst would cause pain for 3 years. I think its worth the surgery to know for sure what's going on in there. My gyno always suspected I had endometriosis but found none when I needed surgery to remove the cyst (and my poor, strangulated ovary). i have it and i have pain on both sides. have u gone to the doctor? |
