I have endometriosis, and had cysts on both ovaries removed in 05', is it possible to still get pregnant?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant since May with no luck so far. I have endometriosis and had cysts on both of my ovaries which were surgically removed in 2005. I'm starting to think that I won't be able to get pregnant and am curious as to how many other woman have gotten pregnant and carried full term while having endometriosis and/or ovarian cysts? And to make it even harder, all of my friends....and it seems like everyone else I know...are pregnant. Please help ease my mind. I'm driving myself and my husband crazy!

Give it time, i know its horrible to say but you've only been trying since May... I would possible go back to your doctor just to have a check up to ensure the endo and/or cysts hasnt returned as they are known to return even after there removal...

For peace of mind, i too was told i had cysts on my ovaries and i had minor endo but I am now pregnant, so there is hope!!

Good luck

With endometriosis it seems like anything can happen and everyone is different.

I have quite severe endometriosis and had an endometrial cyst removed from an ovary in 2006. We had been trying to conceive with no success for +12 months so I wasn't completely surprised to be diagnosed with endometriosis (I have no regular period pain, the pain only came when I had a cyst). My specialist told me I would probably never conceive naturally and to move straight to IVF. We did this and on our first attempt ended up with a beautiful little girl.

My friend on the other hand had a lot of pain with her endometriosis but it isn't as bad as mine, and has had to have MANY IVF attempts to get her two boys.

It really does seem like everyone is different and it affects everyone differently.

Sorry I know this answer doesn't necessarily help! Good luck with your TTC!
