What if i fell down on my left hip could that cause endometriosis?

close to the time of my period and during i realise i feel a lot of pain in my hip could it be endometriosis

It occurs when tissue like that which lines the uterus (tissue called the endometrium) is found outside the uterus -- usually in the abdomen on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and ligaments that support the uterus; the area between the vagina and rectum; the outer surface of the uterus; and the lining of the pelvic cavity. Other sites for these endometrial growths may include the bladder, bowel, vagina, cervix, vulva, and in abdominal surgical scars. Less commonly they are found in the lung, arm, thigh, and other locations.

This misplaced tissue develops into growths or lesions which respond to the menstrual cycle in the same way that the tissue of the uterine lining does: each month the tissue builds up, breaks down, and sheds. Menstrual blood flows from the uterus and out of the body through the vagina, but the blood and tissue shed from endometrial growths has no way of leaving the body. This results in internal bleeding, breakdown of the blood and tissue from the lesions, and inflammation -- and can cause pain, infertility, scar tissue formation, adhesions, and bowel problem

A fall and injury to the left hip is a totally different subject. You most likely injured your left hip and need to see a doctor to get this evaluated x-ray, MRI to see if you didn't fracture or impinge a nerve in the hip area. This is important as an injury to your hip can haunt you for the rest of your life if it is not diagnosed and treated. Good luck.

Endometriosis is a condition in your uterus which can result in a hysterectomy. It does not involve your left hip and falling down either on your left hip or your right hip will not cause you to have this terrible condition.

Uh no. Sounds like you need to educate yourself on what endometriosis is. It is not caused by falls or injuries. It is caused by endometrial tissue building up outside of the uterus on other organs. It is an extremely painful condition to have, and one of the hallmark symptoms is cramping on and off throughout your cycle. It sucks to have as well.

Do not worry, there is no way falling can cause this disease. Genetics or some other preexisting condition are what cause this. You have nothing to worry about other than maybe a nice sized bruise :)_
