Doctors have thought that maybe I have endo.. I have terrible shooting pains like literally in crotch does anyone else have this pain like in their crotch, It hurts so bad even just sitting and my back always kills me and I have no insurance to even do the laproscopy so I just want to see what other women say.. Thanks Firstly it is essential for you to know what the endometriosis is?? The tissue that lines the inside of the uterus and builds up and sheds each month in the menstrual cycle is known as the endometrium. In endometriosis, some of this tissue has spread elsewhere, such as the ovaries, or elsewhere in the abdominal cavity. Endometriosis can cause pain, infertility, and other problems. The most common symptoms of endometriosis are pain before and during periods, during or after intercourse, infertility, and heavy or irregular bleeding. Other symptoms may include fatigue; painful bowel movements with periods; lower back pain with periods; diarrhea and/or constipation and other intestinal upset with periods. I have endo. It is a tricky disease because the amount and location of pain doesn't indicate severity. You don't have to get the laparoscopy to fix it, just to accurately diagnose it. If you have it, they will remove it if they can. There are two medical options outside the surgery, and the second is kind of dicey. First is birth control. My doctor put me on Seasonale to help with mine. It didn't work for me too well because of my problems taking hormones. The second puts you into menopause. You only are in it while taking the hormone that induces menopause. Once you stop, you go back to everything as normal. There are the same risks of bone loss and such with inducing menopause. If you are without insurance, I suggest taking birth control pills. If you check with Wal-Mart, Kroger, or other pharmacy with the $4 generics, you may be able to get your pills for $4 a month. |
