Help with epilepsy?

I would like to know if a person has epilepsy and is on medication is it normal to still see sudden jerky behavior from time to time?

Just because someone is on a medication doesn't mean that it is going to stop them having seizures. It may stop them, can help them have less, or do nothing. There is many different epilespy drugs out there and there has to be a perfect one to make it stop.

Clonic jerks can occur during a seizure, but this behavior is not necessarily a sign of sign of epilepsy. There are a variety of problems that cause jerks, including side effects of many medications.

It's not necessarily 'normal', but happens when someone has more than one type of seizure. Epilepsy is sort of a catch-all in that it covers a variety of seizure activities. I have grand-mal seizures, the severe type, and partial focal seizures, the staring type. I know that when my medication level is low; I'll have partial focal seizures at times. It maybe that the jerky behavior is due to a low medication level, which can be caused by stress, sleep deprivation, not eating right......or it's a diffrent type of seizure that the medication is not directed towards. Let the Neurologist know so any medications can be adjusted if need be.
