Can lithium carb be used to treat someone with epilepsy or a seizure disorder?

Can lithium carb be used to treat someone with epilepsy or a seizure disorder?

Lithium is usually used as a mood stabilizer. Noone really knows how it works exactly. There are many other antiepileptics that work well, lithium should not be the primary drug for siezure control, but it can often be used as an adjunct for coexisting mood disorders.

I have never heard of that being used to treat seizures. I have had a seizure disorder for the past 20 yrs. I am including the link to the epilepsy foundation for your use.

used to treat the seizure disorder or something else?
