Does anybody know anything about lower lobe epilepsy?

my daughter has been diagnosed with lower lobe epilepsy we have had the mri but it showed nothing although she still takes absent seizures

Doesn't that stink? In about 70% of cases there is no direct known cause of epilepsy such as head trauma, a disease, a tumor, etc. The rest of the time there is just nothing that looks wrong. I have had numerous EEGs, MRIs, a PET scan, WADA test, and several others in the past 10 years and always get the same result: everything looks normal! Hey, everyone has to have somthing that makes them unique.

I'm not sure about lower lobe epilepsy, but temporal lobe epilepsy includes absence seizures. Your temporal lobes take care of hearing, memory, emotion, language, vision, tastes, and smells. Complex partial seizures (which are sometimes confused with absence seizures) involve weird sensations and feelings.

Depending on your daughter's age, things might look good for her. It looks like people who develop epilepsy at a younger age (under 10 or so) have better chances of growing out of it.
