Epsom Salt is Magnesium Sulfate...
Apparently magnesium helps lower the risk of seizures in Epileptic patients...

-[ The only vitamin deficiency known to cause or worsen seizures is a deficiency of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). This deficiency occurs mainly in newborns and infants and causes seizures that are hard to control. In some cases, the doctor may give the baby the vitamin through an IV while recording the EEG. If the EEG improves dramatically, that shows that there is a B6 deficiency. Some doctors may also try vitamin B6 in older children with difficult-to-control seizures, but there is no solid evidence that it will be helpful.

Minerals are essential nutrients. Low levels of the minerals sodium, calcium, and magnesium can alter the electrical activity of brain cells and cause seizures.]

Good Luck

no. there is no cure for epilepsy (which isn't one disease FYI, there are several different types of seizure disorders under the broad heading of epilepsy) Many people do have fewer seizures as they get older, and have less need of medication.

There are very limited uses for epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) these days. It used to be used as a purgative, but we don't do that much anymore except to clean out peoples bowels before some tests and surgery. It can be added to warm water to make a Sitz bath to soak your aching hemmorhoids in (although the warm water on its own works just fine)

Some Alties recommend it as a "detoxifier", but there is no evidence to support that, or that detoxification is an actual treatment of anything.

No, but you can use it for arthritis,if you sprain your ankle. I would advise you to talk to your doctor if you can use epsom salt for epilepsy and see what they say. Doctors and pharmacists are good to ask your question because they know how epsom salt works and what it will help on and what it will not. Yahoo Answers isn't a good place to get advise on medical treatments.

No it can not cure epilepsi it but it may help to avoid or reduce epileptic seizures. Further information can be found in a web search for "epsom salt" + epilepsi.

A high refined sugar intake can cause epileptic seizures so reducing your sugar intake might perhaps help. See item 114 in http://www.rheumatic.org/sugar.htm .
