Photosensitive epilepsy? What medications are typically used and are effective? What are your experiences?

Photosensitive epilepsy? What medications are typically used and are effective? What are your experiences?

I have Photosensitive Epilepsy. I've had it since I was six years old. The flashing lights at the fair, strobes, some computer games, etc will set it off. I used to be on Phenobarbital for years and it worked great, but there are so many new medications with less side effects on the market now. There's Keppra, Lamectal (that's what I take now) Topamax, Toradol, etc. You need to talk to your neurologist and see which would be the best for you. Good Luck!
