Syncope, seizures, v-fib is it a heart problem or epilepsy? |
lately I've been having more and more episodes of syncope, seizures, and on some occasions v-fib and v-tach is this from a heart problem or epilepsy? i doesn't make sense im an athletic person so i shouldn't have heart problems, and my EEG came out normal. syncope and vfib are definitely cardiac issues, and you can be in excellent physical shape and still have those issues...look at Jim Fixx, a long distance runner....he died from a heart attack. See a cardiologist to get it figured out. K for me, it was a HEART PROBLEM! you can actually have bouts of synoscope, v-fib (ventricular fibrillation), and v-tach (ventricular tachycardia), during a seizures... all are heart issues but seizures/epilepsy affect the central nervous system which is in direct connection to the heart... so the answer is both... visit the neurologist and the cardiologist soon... get to the drs and have them get it checked out asap for your peace of mind |
