Is there a link between epilepsy and depression?

I have been taking dilantin for over 20 years of my life due to epilepsy. Someone told me that my depression can be linked to this. Is this a possibility?

Temporal Lobe Epilepsy has been linked rather vaguely with altered mood, behavior, and creativity (Geschwind Syndrome). So it depends what kind of epilepsy you have I guess. But I don't know about whether that medication causes depression, if that's what your asking.
