Unexplained seizures, not epilepsy? |
My friend woke up one morning and had a seizure. Had all the eeg, mri, catscan and stuff done and it was all normal. She was having them when she transitioned from sleep to awake, but now they've escalated. She was put on Keppra, and other meds to try and stop them, nothing has been working. She started having 10 seizures an hour and they weren't able to be stopped. She's now in the hospital, they've given her benadryl and now are calling these seizures "episodes". Nobody is sure what the issue is, I'm worried and I was wondering if anybody had any insite? THANKS If they are calling them episodes, it's because they aren't sure what the problem is either.
