Epilepsy attacks... can they be an heritage condition? |
Epilepsy attacks... can they be an heritage condition? There is still a bunch of studies being done on a link between epilepsy and genetics. The conclusions vary, but from what I've read it looks like even if both parents have epilepsy it only increases the odds of their children having epilepsy by up to 5%. On the positive side, if one of their children were to have epilepsy they would already know a lot about it and be better prepared for it than most people would be. |
