My father has epilepsy can he still get private health cover? |
He needs a non epilepsy related operation and he needs private health cover to get it. :( Yes, but you need to tell your agent he has epilepsy. I have epilepsy also and I found an interesting way that may have gotten rid of it for me. I have been passing it along to dr.'s but they seem mired in their old ways, so if you would like a copy of what I outlined for them as to how I believe they have misdiagnose eplipsy drop me a line and I'll forward you a copy so you can compare and see if you think your father falls into this group also. I'm sorry to say, that any preexisting physical problems will prevent him from getting health insurance. He may be able to find a company that will take him, but he's going to be paying a hefty price. You also have to have the insurance for at least 6-8 weeks before they will cover surgery. At least that's the way it is with ours. Can he get help from the state you live in? I would think he could. Is he still working? A lot of questions will be asked when and if he applies. I really think state help is his best recourse. Good luck |
