Yes definitely.
Violent seizure which can come on even while the person is taking medication for this epileptic disorder, can be a danger to self and others. Self-- falling, and others-- driving a vehicle. Social security benefits are given to the person who suffers from this disorder.

in the US--yes it is a disability---the levels of service depend on the severity---

someone with occassional seizures should not qualify for disability payments--but may qualify for support services such as vocational rehab or supposed protection under the ADA


someone with frequent seizures WHO CANNOT work would qualify for SSI/SSDI (support payments)

i dated a guy who had grand mal seizures,he's passed away now from an unrelated illness..he wasn't allowed to drive,and he was on ssi for the seizures. yes, they are considered elligible.

Yes they are. I'm 26 and I've had grand-mal seizures pretty much all my life - ever since 10 mths old. I've been receiving ssi for the past 2 yrs. Oh, I still can't drive but I can work.
