Anyone know if having epilepsy can effect you from having kids in the future? |
my partner has epilepsy and we are trying for a baby!! he's been on medication for about 3 years we've been trying for a good few months now and im wondering does his medication have any effect? Your partner is the male and the one with Seizure Disorder. Look up the medication he takes and check for side effects. If you are concerned you should call your Ob-Gyn and ask them. They will know for sure. Since you are at it... ask them for prenatal vitamins and get a good head start before you conceive. Good luck! There are so many drugs on epilepsy, certain drug are teratogenic may affect foetus, but there are some safe drugs that can be continued, consult your doctor before pregnancy. |
