Soy protein. estrogen myths ? |
i've heard that taking soy protein will decrease testosterone and increase estrogen levels. is there any truth to this ? i don't eat or drink dairy products so i drink soy milk sometimes. i've started taking whey protein a few weeks ago but since whey is derived from milk, i was thinking of switching to soy or egg protein powders. This is true. No one really knows if eating a lot of soy can cause cancer. They say it can actually protect you, but in certain amounts it can cause cancer. From what I understand, eating soy is fine, but taking soy supplements might do more harm than good. Yes it true. soy has estrogenic properties that's why it's not recommended for those with estrogen related problems. (like belly fat, cysts, fibroids) |
