Has anyone taking estrogen and gotten what the results they wanted?

If so how long did it take for you?
I am taking clomid also.

You don't need estrogen supplements directly and that is usually never given.

FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) is the hormone directly given and is highly effective. These are injectables (expensive) and stimulate production of follicles.

Clomid actually inhibits production of estrogen, which then stimulates production of FSH (and consequently estrogen).
