I am 8 weeks pregnant and my doctor just told me that i have fibroid, what can i do to supress the growth?

eventhough they are small, is it something i can do to keep them at the size they are

patiently awaiting a reply

I had a fibroid with my first pregnancy. I was taken to hopital at 18 weeks with stomach pains which turned out to be the baby kicking the chit out of it! I just had regular checks after that (im high risk anyway) and by my 32 week scan it had gone.
try not to worry about it just relax and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.

Did your doctor not give you any suggestions?

no but they grow slow and are harmless get them removed after babe born

I dont know. You shouldve asked the doctor when you were at the doctors office.

Eat broccoli.

They can be treated with surgery or medication, though after menopause they do tend to reduce in size on their own. There is not much you can do through your pregnancy since most medications to treat them are not so good for the baby. Best not to worry too much about it until after the birth, just focus on your growing baby girl (or boy) :-)

Sorry dont know to much about this but consult with your doctor good luck

They usually just disappear. I had one when I was first pregnant and a while later it was gone. The body starts caring for the baby so the fibroid isn't getting what it needs to survive anymore. Try not to worry.
