What is likely to happen if you have fibroid that keep growing and don't have them removed?

I have fibroids that have grown over the past few years. Recently I have either 2 cycles a month or spotting. My gyn ordered an ultrsaound of my uterus. I have 1 cyst on 1 of my ovaries and my uterus is has grown to be 13cms. It should only be 10cms. My gyn went over some options with me, it seems that a partial historectmy is my only option. My gyn told me that the fibroids only get larger, they don't shrink. What would you do if you were in my shoes? this is the second opinion.

I had multiple fibroids and they were growing really fast. Within 6 months they grew as big as 6 months pregnancy. They caused heavy bleeding during my period and it kept me so weak.
I got pregnant with the fibroids and doctors removed my whole uterus just after the baby was born.
if you don't do anything with your fibroids for long time, they will cause heavy bleeding and for that you will have anemia.
So get them removed.

Take the surgery...! Fibroids can be very, very painful. The pain can be so severe you will have to stay in bed, unless you want to spend life on addictive pain medications. If they get big enough they can cause ruptures (tearing of what it's attached to). They can damage your body if left untreated.

There are medical treatments for fibroids as well as what is called a myomectomy (removing the fibroids, leaving the uterus). There are multiple issues to consider like how old are you? Do you plan on having children in the future? Things like that. If kids are not an issue, then have the hysterectomy. If you plan on trying to conceive, pursue other options. You will continue to bleed heavily with fibroids, which causes a number of issues as your blood count drops. (Ignore suggestions of your uterus rupturing!) The heavy bleeding will be the biggest issue. Remember, your quality of life is everything! What you have is treatable, so why suffer? If you want to have children...different story, if not then why live the way you are living? Good luck.
