Will a woman with PCOS and a fibroid get accurate results when using a ovulation predictor kit? |
I asked my OBGYN and he said I could get a false ovulation result if I use an OPK, because of the hormones in my body due to the PCOS and fibroid. Is this true? He said it could produce a false positive result. Also, I asked about taking my temperature using a basal thermometer and he said I could, but it's too difficult to get an accurate reading because if I move too much or if I am hot from being under the cover at night that could affect my temperature in the morning. Women who have PCOS can not get accurate results from an OPK. It would be a waste of your time to use them. It is only because of the PCOS, not the fibroid. PCOS causes hormonal problems in your body, OPKS look for a hormone. |
