I need to have a hysterectomy for fibroids & I think my inlaws not happy!? |
I am 27years old and been suffering a lot cause of fibroids. I have all the symptoms in the world. I am schedule for hysterectomy and I think my mum in law not happy about it. Me & my husband do not want kids! So I've found it hard to talk to her about it. I have full support of my mum! I have to add that for the last year or so my life has come to a stop cause of constant pain, bleeding and aneamia as a result of thes fibroids. My husband is so supportive, going to my appointments with me, cook, clean etc.... he let me sleep as I want when i'm sore or tired! If it's best for your health then you should definately go ahead with it - it's your life, not anyone else's. I know people who have been in a similar situation - just surround yourself with the ones you love. dont talk to your inlaws about it its none of their business. If there is any talk about it, your husband should do it since its his family, not yours. they are gonna look for a reason to be negative towards you. it would have been a good idea not to even know you are having the hysterectomy.that is very young to have a hysterectomy though. And at such a young age of 27, you are not maure enough to make such a big decision as this. think twice unless your doctor INSISTS you need one, dont do it now. Wait because I think in 5 years or so you will regret it. even though she is your mother in law, she should still love you and support you. if you are suffering, she should be happy that you won't be anymore. That is your choice, and if you and your husband are fine with it, then your mum in law has to deal with it. I would just let her know somehow that you are suffering and you feel this is your only choice and you need her to support you and if she doesn't, to just keep her feelings to herself. I know that is not an easy thing to tell someone though. I am glad your mom is supportive. it isn't your fault. you should go through with it and if they're not happy then thats their problem. they shouldnt force anything upon you ask yourself this, is your health more important to you than what your inlaws think?? and if thats the only alternative the doctor gave you, there should be no questions. also, if you guys do want children in the future, there are a lot of babies out there that need loving parents!! |
