Uterine Fibroids: What's the best treatment?

Please tell me your experiences with them. I know I have them and have severely heavy periods. I'm 38 and am done having kids.

It will depend on the size and location of the fibroids. If the fibroids are on the inside of the uterus and small the doctor may be able to remove them with the help of an instrument called a hysteroscope.

If they are on the outside they may be able to do a procedure called uterine fibroid embolization which is done by a special type of radiologist called an interventional radiologist. They may be able to remove them laparoscopically if they aren't too big thru a procedure called laparoscopic myomectomy.
