Fibroid Tumor and having children? |
My cousin has been trying to get pregnant for 3 years. She found out Monday that she has cysts in her tubes and a mass in her uterus. The doctor says he's 99% sure its not cancerous. She told me that it was a fibroid tumor. Can this cause her never to have children or can it be taken out and everything be fine? Only her doctor can determine how this will affect her fertility. Many people have had fibroid tumours removed and went on to have children so it doesn't mean she won't have kids though. If the tumor is in a spot where it can be easily removed, then she won't have a problem. A friend of a friend right now just got pregnant with a HUGE fibroid tumor in her uterus. She was pregnant with twins and lost the twin because of it. However, she still has the other twin. Her pregnancy is high-risk, but she looks like she's going to make it. Tell your friend to take care of it before she gets pregnant. I had a big one removed last Feb... the dr. said I had to take it out cause there is no room for a baby to grow... I am still TTC #1 after 8 months... Hopefully I can get preggo.. |
