Wondering what could happen after finding fibroids.?

I am 33 yrs old and have two kids.I have had my right tube and ovary taken out back in 2002.I was diagonesed with fibroids in 2003 and didn't ever have anything done about it.Now I have been having bad periods and pain with intercourse and pressure all the time.I went to the doctors and they did an ultrasound which revealed i have a fibroid.ANd they run in my family.I am wondering if anyone has had the same experience as me.I have also had my tubes tied and I am afraid of what the doc might do.

If you've had a tubal, then you're obviously done with having children. They will take that into account and will probably suggest a hysterectomy. There is a technique called uterine embolization, but only your doctor can tell you if you're a candidate for this surgery.

I'm diagnosed with fibroids and I'm 35.
You should talk to your doctor about your options.
You have plenty of options. Google "uterine fibroid" and you will see. The doctor will not do anything without your consent. Make sure you understand your doctor when you talk to him. Ask a lot of questions.
Basically, your options are to remove the fibroids surgically while leaving your uterus in place. Another option is to remove the whole uterus (which is probably not so good cause you're still young). There are also other procedures.

I had fibroids in 94 and a year later it was removed after I had treatment to shink. Mine was grapefruit size and very painful, I never heard about them before. I discovered that they mainly appear in women of color. I have regular scans but they have not returned.
You do have a choice, the doctors can advise you, thet will probably want to remove your womb. I said no to that, as I was childfree and still am. Good luck
