Question about surgery for a large fibroid myomectomy?

I have a large fibroid 2x's the size of my uterus, I want to have a child someday and keep my uterus. I was referred to a endocrinologist, anyone out there who know's what I should expect? ie laproscopic removal or cut open surgery and what are the chances they'll be able to save my uterus w/o doing a hysterectomy? thank you!

Your endocrinologist should refer you to a surgeon, who can decide what your options are. That is certainly one big fibroid. I would think a laparoscopic procedure would be somewhat of a challenge.
