I hv an orange sized fibroid on my uterus wall, open surgery or laproscopy is better.?

im married but not pregnant yet.

What did the dr. say? Most fibroids are harmless but some may make carrying a pregnancy harder due to the location. Laporoscopic procedures may be easier to recover from but the dr. has to be trained in lap procedures cause any surgery can have complications. I've heard of women who have had laporoscopic hysterectomies go home the same day only to return with severe complications and others including myself who have had abdominal or vaginal hysterectomies, stay for at least 2-4 days and go home with no complications. I had one fibroid noticed on ultrasound and still was able to have two more kids after they were found without any surgery to me cause it was small and didn't get in the way. Others have to have them removed in order to get pregnant and carry safely.

Maybe due to the size it might be to big to take out laporoscopically unless the dr. can use very small tools to break it up and then remove it in pieces.
