My mom has cystic fibroids? |
should she take medicine to stop her bleeding or have a surgery to get rid of them? if she does have the surgery would it be dangerous? Has your mum reached menopause yet!? If yes, then it may not be fibroids, discuss with the doctor on other possible diagnoses. If no, then she should have the surgery. the bleeding is going to stop permanently after the surgery. Fibroids are oestrogen dependent benign (harmless) tumors. Therefore most often occur in child bearing aged women. For one who is in menopause or is post-menopausal, it is unlikely for the mass to be a fibroid, fibroids shrink due to the lack of oestrogen in menopausal or post menopausal women. Report Abuse However, if she it is proven to be a fibroid, and she is having vaginal bleeding, which am sure is making her weak&tired+pale; it is important that u convince her to get them out surgically. Her quality of life will improve amazingly. Report Abuse |
