My misses is having fibroids of 10cm dia 2 nos in stomuch .which operation is better wether laproscopic or ope |
please reply in detail Laparoscopy decreases surgical risks to the patient and drastically minimizes recovery time. BUT all surgeons are not created equal. There are some who took a weekend course once and now fancy themselves to be lap specialists. The good news is, there ARE many advanced surgeons out there who CAN perform effective laparoscopic myomectomies and other procedures which will effectively treat the fibroids. If a surgeon is worth his or her salt and has the advanced surgical training required, it can easily be performed in a way that will best benefit you. See the Accreditation Council for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ACGE) for those with superior laparoscopic surgical training and to learn more. http://accreditationcouncil.org/... http://www.adlap.com http://www.laparoscopy.com I know Dr Pradeep Muley, in Delhi. He is experienced interventional radiologist. U can visit his site www.indianinterventionalradiol... He can give you online consultation also Oh your poor lady. I would go for laparascopic as there is less scarring and a shorter recovery time - but ask the Dr which method is more likely to catch all the fibroids. I"ve had three laparascopies and you can't even tell, and I was up and around in a couple of days. Most of the recovery time is spent with the healing. If it is laproscopic, you have less recovery time because you have only a few small incisions. But this is up to you and the physician and surgeon, if she's had many stomach surgeries, this may not be an option. Or other problems may arise that require an open surgery. |
