What are symptoms of fibroids? |
What are symptoms of fibroids? I had fibroid when I was 24 and had a surgery. I can tell you about my symptoms of fibroid. My lower abdomen was big, seemed i was pregnant. I had quite a lot bleeding during the first day of period. My period was regular and stayed for 7 days. I had severe anemia which caused a lot dizziness, even i couldn't move my , I had to lie steal on bed. I had to take blood supplement. I had no severe pain during my period. Those tumors have grown again now, I have the same symptoms. I'll need another surgery soon.. Heavy bleeding, long periods. Some women have no symptoms and are surprised to find out in their yearly exam. Some women are debilitated from them. The most common symptoms of fibroid tumors are: 1. Heavy menstrual bleeding. 2. Fullness in the abdomen. 3. Severe pain during menstrual cycle. I have fibroid tumors, but other than the severe pain, there was no indication I had them until they did a laparascopic surgery on me, thinking I had endometriosis. I was just 23 when I had this done, which is WAY young for fibroid tumors (usually they happen closer to menopause age...late 30's earliest to early 50's), so it totally caught us all off guard. I was given Lupron injections to shrink the tumors...and they got down to marble size, but now are back to golf ball and baseball sized. Sorry I can't post more, but do a google on fibroids and you'll find out even more of what you need to know. bloated belly, pain, heavy bleeding, anemia, weakness, fibroids can cause a number of symptoms depending on their size, location, pelvic pain (if it's big can very painful), pressure on the bladder with frequent or even interfer with urination, and can be difficult to have bowel movents or painful , Abnormal uterine bleeding heavy bleeding or spotting in between periods, and even can cause pain with sex. |
