What do you know about fibroids and back pain?? |
What do you know about fibroids and back pain?? the fibroid tumor that i had grew to the size of a grapefruit and i had to have a hysterectomy. the symptoms that i had was extreme back pain. fibroids are tumors, they are not the kind that will kill you. They are just masses of tissue that develop. Nothing at all to worry about. Back pain?? What kind and where? There are ALOT of very different things that can cause the back pain. Fibroids are excess fibrous tissues in muscles or subcutaneous tissue. Fibroids, interfere with the smooth fluid motions of the muscles & joints, kinda like if you had to weave around potholes or fallen trees when you drive. This interference with the movement of your body parts, places undue stress on the healthy parts of the body which are required to compensate, as well as in the affected part of your body.In which case you will have soreness, & fatique in many parts of your body Breaking up Fibrotic tissue is difficult, & in some cases not do-able. You may want to consult a massage therapist or physical therapist. There are a few things you can do on your own, if the fibrotic tissue can be broken up. It depends on the reason the fibrotic tissue is there. You may e-mail me if you want to know what those things are. I am an LMP, ( massage therapist ) with continuing education. talk to your gynocologist. I had fibroids that caused all kinds of trouble. for me the resolution came as a hysterectomy, but there are other procedures that can be used to shrink them or get rid of them but the doc is your best place to get real answers to this health question Uterine Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that are in or around a woman's uterus. To determine the best solution to remove them, I would suggest that you get an ultrasound first to see the size, number, and location of the fibroid(s). Then depending on the size and location, your GP or OB/GYN can give them the best possible solution for getting rid of them. If they are big and in the way of other organs or if they are causing the woman many problems and complications, a doctor may suggest a surgery such as a myomectomy or hysterectomy. But if they are small, and they are not causing pain, heavy bleeding, or other symptoms, then their doctor could try shrinking them thru embolization or other invasive methods. I was treated for Uterine Fibroids last year and I had a myomectomy (where they were surgically removed). I would recommend the surgery if the fibroids were very big, there were many of them, and they caused different symptoms such as heavy bleeding, infertility, and back pain.
