When you know your period is getting close cut out most salt and try to eat healthier the less water and bad stuff your body is trying to process the easier it is to focus on your period, also start taking Ibuprofen a day or two in advance to help with cramping also wear a pad instead of a tampon I know this sucks but its just better if you are trying to pass bigger blood clots-your body passes them faster than waiting for a tampon to try and soak it up.
Unfortunately, you have to grin and bear it! If it is the discomfort of the period that bothers you try an old remedy - a hot water bottle. Or there are a lot of good over the counter meds like midol. Good luck!!
My auntie had a procedure called embolization a few years ago and it has worked wonders for her. Her periods are not as heavy as before. You can read up on it further and ask your gyne about it. Good luck!
The heavy period is one of the symptoms. I just recently heard about the embolization and wrote the website down.
