My OBGYN says I have golf size fibroids. Lower abdominal discomfort. How can I ease the pain? No surgery.? |
Intermediate pain, mostly in the morning, aching pain. Some days worst than others. Had ultrasound and MRI. While you can take medications to try and shink them/temporarily alleviate symptoms, the medication is often worse than the fibroids (i.e., Lupron). It sounds like the pain and symptoms are starting to really interupt your days, so please reconsider definitive treatment so that you can regain your quality of life. The treatments include laparoscopic myomectomy, hysteroscopic resection of myomas (HRM), laparoscopic myolosis, Uterine Artery Embolization, and in some cases, hysterectomy (but you don't have to go that route). There are no medical or alternative therapies proven to effectively treat the fibroids in the long-term, so definitive treatment really is needed. Good luck and feel better. Endo, I'm not familiar with terms you are using, therefore, I will research all of them. Thanks for the insight though. I'm not fond of surgery but I know something has to be done in order to ease the pain. I suppose to go back in August for another check-up. golf what? carts, courses, clubs, shoes, surely u didnt mean balls, did u isn't that really serious? your going to have to have surgery do you want to die? acupuncture helps my daughter with her endo. maybe it would help you |
