Can a woman have fibroid tumors and still get pregnant? |
Fibroid tumors run in my family. My mother had grandmother had them and my mother had them and now I know I have them. Will they have any conflict with me getting pregnant? I also have fibroids, my OB/GYN says that you can get pregnant just may be a little harder. Good Luck Yes, but the baby will be born with a cone head, he may even be born black. I do believe so. Good luck! Yes, though chances may reduce a bit and there is a some possibility of complications during pregnancy. I wish you the best and i don't it should be a problem at all tho. Yes, you can get pregnant even if you have fibroid tumor. Most women who have fibroid tumors experience no pregnancy complications because of them. Fibroid tumors won't harm the baby either. Even if you do experience symptoms(Heavy vaginal bleeding; Abdominal pain; Pelvic pressure; Frequent urination; Constipation), they most likely won't affect the baby. However, your risk of miscarriage and premature delivery does increase slightly if you have fibroids. They occasionally cause the baby to be in an abnormal position for delivery. They can also stall labor, or, if they're located in or near the cervical opening, they may block the baby's passage. All of these (rather rare) problems can increase the likelihood of cesarean delivery. I can understand how worrying this can be. You should talk to your doctor about all your worries. If you feel that your doctor is not receptive to your worries -- change doctors until you can find one who is. But, first stop worrying. You can read all about fibroid tumors in the website I have as sources. :) Good luck! http://health.discovery.com/centers/preg... http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/fibroid... http://www.americanpregnancy.org/womensh... |
