How fast must a growth (fibroid) be gotten rid of, if drugs are taken to control further growth?

A friend has this condition, and has been taking birth control pills (as directed by her doctor) to reduce overbleeding during her periods. It has worked so far but she is getting tired of taking pills....well, but she's got no choice. Her main worry is that the growth is somewhere in her womb and she has plans to have a family in the near future.

I would say if she plans on having children then she need to have it removed, but till that time she needs to stay on the pills and do as the Dr. says. and things should be ok.. as long as the tumor is not getting any bigger .. good luck to her..
Why does it matter? It's not happening to you.
