I want to know about fibroid uterus? Fibroid are growths of fibrous tissue within the myometrium (muscle layer) of the uterus. They usually affect women over 35, and are non-cancerous growths. Sometimes they can cause heavy menstrual periods, and can interfere with fertility. They can be removed surgically.
