If your girlfriend/wife told you she had fibroid tumors and may have them remove would u stand by her? |
I was diagnosed with fibroid tumors on my uterus. I came to my then fiance (now ex) i told him wat the proceedure I had to go through cause we wanted kids but when I told him what my gynocologist said that i may not be able to have kids cuz I may have to have a hysterectomy he blame me for the reason and broke up with me. saying that I wouldnt be no use to him any longer what shall i do? Wow..that was harsh!! He obviously wasn't ready for the long haul with you..(sorry if that sounds too terribly blunt) A lot of people have issues dating or marrying someone who they think cannot have kids. Everyone will deal with things in their own way but he couldn't have been the one for you if this has happened. Be glad you knew the outcome before you two got married. You see, what the doc said is only a possibility..not a fact. God gives miracles..keep your head up honey..everything will be fine. If I were you I'd get over him. He's not worth it. Anybody who is that insensitive, you don't need in your life. Be happy he's gone now. Imagine if you'd have had kids with someone like that! There is a very obvious silver lining around that cloud. I am female, but I would absolutely stand by you if I truly loved you. Your ex is a jerk for saying those things. He still could have a family with you through adoption if you were not able to have your own, but he probably would have been one of those men who are bent on having their own biological children. Based on what you wrote, you don't even know whether this surgery will prevent you from having kids yet, and he still left you. Maybe this was blessing in disguise because you would not want to have kids with a selfish moron like that anyway. I think you are better off having him as you ex. He doesn't sound like award winning material. But please get a second opinion about having a hysterectomy. Check out this link about fibroids. Good luck! http://www.uterinefibroids.com/... You wouldn't "be any use to him"? Sheesh. Someone needs to tell him that this isn't the middle ages and relationships are for love, not for getting as many kids as you can to help with the farming. I think you are well out of that relationship. He sounds like the type that would always blame you for anything that didn't go his way. But please know that there are other ways of treating fibroids besides having a hysterectomy (and hysterectomies are seriously over-recommended). If your doctor insists, go see another doctor. |
