Does anyone can tell me any premanent solution for recurring multiple fibroid inside the uterus? |
I've one surgery for fibroids when i was 25. Now I have those again, I'm 27. Is there any solution? I have had the same problem ever since I started my period at age 13. But from age 21 to 33 I was told that my uterus was slightly enlarged and I would be sent down to the Lab for a pregnancy test - which was always negative. My OB/GYN nurse was the one who gave the proper diagnosis. The first male doctor wanted to remove my uterus...NEXT!! I found a female doctor who understood and suggested surgery and I had the shots(for 3 months to reduce my fibroids before surgery) before the myomectomy surgery. She removed 6 one was the size of a honeydew melon the others were grapefruit. There were still others left in my uterus but I have a child and I am in my 50s now. So if you really serious the only sure fire method is removal of the uterus. But I found this article; Uterine Fibroid Embolization: A New Way to Treat Fibroids at http://familydoctor.org/601.xml... Plus additional information and videos at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/uteri... Source(s): http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/uteri... http://familydoctor.org/601.xml... No as far as I know if you were older they would probably do a hysterectomy but your are too young. |
